Tutorial 2: Human factors in the design and testing of hypermedia-based interfaces
Instructor: Andy Dillon
Time: Saturday, June 3 (full day)
Description
The user interface to any application determines the
usability of the application. Poorly designed interfaces lead
to increased user error, lower user efficiency and decreased
user satisfaction. The present tutorial will provide
attendees with data on the empirical findings on usability for
hypermedia and web-based interfaces. As well as covering what
is known, the tutorial will also examine how to determine
usability for new interfaces through the design of reliable
and valid usability tests.
