The Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW), a 24-hour airport located 20 minutes from downtown along the Airport Parkway, offers numerous daily scheduled non-stop flights to cities in North America and Europe. List of airlines flying to the Ottawa International Airport.

By Train or Bus

VIA Rail is Canada’s passenger train service and GreyHound is Canada’s bus service. VIA Rail provides convenient daily train service to other major centres and both the downtown VIA train station and the downtown Greyhound bus terminal are located minutes from the University of Ottawa.

Getting to downtown Ottawa from the airport

Take the airport shuttle bus to all downtown hotels. The bus departs every 1/2 hour daily. A cab ride is about $25 one way.  Public transit via Route 97 leaves the airport approximately every 20 minutes. All major car rental agencies are located at the airport.  With the downtown location of the University of Ottawa, you may not need a car.
